Camp Descriptions:
Golf FUNdamentals Camp (half day): $195
Schedule
- Each session will take place Monday through Friday. Camp will run from 9:00AM-12:00PM with a half hour for drop off and pick up.
- 4 of the 5 days, juniors will do warm up exercises to develop motor skills, receive group instruction on at least two different golf topics through fun activities, and participate in various sport games. 1 day of camp will include playing 9 holes on the golf course.

- Golf is FUN!: creating a friendly and welcoming environment for juniors to learn, explore and develop their skills
- Fundamentals of the Golf Game: instruction on grip, aim, stance, and posture; putting, drivers, irons and short game shots
- Core Values of the Game of Golf: etiquette, sportsmanship, integrity, respect, responsibility
- Low student/coach ratio
Registration
- Open to juniors age 6-10, recommended for new to beginner golfers.
NOTE: Lunch is NOT provided. Short breaks will be incorporated into daily schedules where juniors are encouraged to hydrate and will have an opportunity to purchase refreshments at the snack bar.
Golf Specific Camp (full day): $320
Schedule
- Each session will take place Monday through Friday. Camp will run from 9:00AM-3:00PM with a half hour for drop off and pick up. Friday is a HALF DAY and will run from 9:00AM-12:00PM with a half hour for drop off and pick up.
- Monday through Thursday, juniors will do warm up exercises to develop motor skills, agility, balance, speed, and strength. They will receive group instruction on at least three different golf topics through specialized drills with specific goals. They will also walk and play 9 holes on the golf course in various scoring formats.
- On the final day of camp, each junior will complete a skills challenge to help quantify their achievements and identify areas for improvement.

Registration
- Open to juniors age 10-16, recommended for intermediate to advanced golfers. All juniors must be able to WALK 9 holes in compliance with our pace of play policy.
NOTE: Lunch is NOT provided. Juniors must bring their own non-refrigerated lunch or may purchase items from the snack bar.

Our vision is to develop University of Maryland Junior Golfers with the correct knowledge of the game while creating an environment where golf is a sport about having fun, building integrity and enjoying time spent with family & friends.
The program is designed to meet learning and development needs for players of all levels from beginners to Junior Elite players.

University of Maryland Junior Golf Program’s main mission is to attract, maintain and grow in attendance of junior golfers.
- To develop young golfers into golfers that understand, appreciate and thrive in the golf community as players of the game.

Our junior golf camp is designed to not only develop better golfers, but develop better athletes as well. Golf is a sport and people play sports for development of mind and body.
Our intent is to develop junior golfers through a development model that is defined as Long Term Athletic Development. Long Term Athletic Development is a framework that aims to develop each junior golfer in an effort to enable him or her to reach their full potential in golf and as an athlete.
